SGA Cooperation

The Coalition for Responsible Investment is proud to announce its ongoing cooperation with the Student Government Association in dealing with the issue of divestment from select firms operating in Sudan.

We applaud the SGA’s impartiality and willingness to hear our case, and look forward to working with them to reach a meaningful resolution to the conflict at hand.

Daily Cougar & CRI-UH explore questionable investments.

The Daily Cougar, the University of Houston’s official newspaper, published a front-page piece on investments the university holds in firms directly connected to the genocide in Darfur. The report, written by John Arterbury, was made possible by information gathered and published by CRI-UH.

The Coalition for Responsible Investment at the University of Houston will be having its first general meeting on Monday, February 25, 2008. It will be held at 2:45PM, at the UC Underground, Baltic Room (77).

We strongly encourage all interested individuals to attend. We will discuss what we’re about, and what we’re seeking to accomplish.
